I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! If you donated to me via PayPal in 2019, please read this post.
I was recently informed by a donor that their donation was sitting in “pending”. I thought this to be odd, so upon investigation, I saw that the email logged with the Haven PayPal Account ended in gmail.co, not gmail.com. I am not sure whether this was a glitch on my end or PayPal’s, but it has been corrected.
If you donated in 2019, please check the status of your donation. It is likely in pending. You have not lost any money as you are still able to cancel the donation.
I contacted PayPal, and unfortunately, what this means is that they cannot simply reroute it, but they need the donor to cancel their pending donation, and re-donate now that the email has been corrected.
Please do not feel obligated to re-donate. I understand that for many people, their donations are as they are financially able, and if you are financially unable to now versus when you initially made the donation, I completely understand and sincerely thank you for wishing to help in the first place.
Please follow the directions below:
- Log into your PayPal account.
- Look at your recent transfers/activity.
- If your donation is in pending, cancel the donation.
- If you still wish to donate, resubmit the donation.
I sincerely apologize and am very embarrassed that this happened. I apologize for any inconvenience and thank you again for your assistance. Your kindness and generosity is not unnoticed.
