The Haven is a truly unique ministry.
Its very nature raises a lot of questions.

Here, you can find some answers. If you can't find the answer you're looking for here, please don't hesitate to contact me via the contact page. I would love to discuss it with you.

Who can stay at The Haven?

The Haven is a place specifically for young women aged 18-25. It is a sort of halfway house if they find themselves without a supportive community, if they are coming from emotionally or physically abusive homes, or if they are simply unable to support themselves.

The Haven is also for anyone simply wanting a place to call a second home - the house is open to women who'd like a place to study, read, talk, or crash for a night.

I also strive to make this a community hub of sorts, hosting events that center on community and the gospel.

How long are the women allowed to stay?

The length of stay is determined on a case-to-case basis. Health, resources, and the availability of options for her next chapter are all taken into account. In terms of her progress, diligence, behavior, and attitude, these are all taken into account as well. Ideally, a stay would last between 1-6 months.

Who is involved in this ministry?

The Haven is run by Emily Urban, a passionate disciple of Christ with a desire to serve God by loving people. She has a small team of confidants who assist her and lift the home in prayer.

We are currently looking for church partnerships for outreach support.

How can I get involved?

Donations are accepted via Venmo, check, or cash. If you wish to help more practically, please click here to view our list of needs. You may also become a supporter of Emily on Patreon for her personal resources regarding theology and life.

You can always help by referring young women to our ministry as well. Most of all, prayer is the most effective way of supporting our home.
